The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) and the visiting Boothbay Seahawks (Boothbay Harbor, ME), observed Dirigo's basketball team overwhelm Boothbay by a margin of 55-32.

The Cougars (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Traip (Kittery, ME). The Rangers come into the C South challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Traip trounced Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 25-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Seahawks battle the North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME) in a C South challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Boothbay will attempt to better on its 2-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 55-23 league win over Sacopee Valley (Cornish, ME).
