The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the MACCRAY Wolverines (Clara City, MN) and the host Canby Lancers (Canby, MN), observed MACCRAY's basketball team edge Canby by a margin of 57-54.
The Wolverines (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeview (Cottonwood, MN). The Lakers come into the A Section 3 challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview edged Lac qui Parle Valley (Madison, MN), 61-41, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lancers battle the Ortonville Trojans (Ortonville, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 13. Canby will attempt to better on its 6-7 season record.
