South Dakota High School Basketball - Mahpiya Luta overwhelms Custer

The Mahpiya Luta Crusaders basketball team scored 78 points and limited the host Custer Wildcats to 34 in the Crusaders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Crusaders now possess a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Todd County for a A Region 7 game on Saturday, January 11. Mahpiya Luta will confront a Falcons team coming off a 68-24 league loss to Winner (Winner, SD). The Falcons record now stands at 2-6.

With the loss, Custer falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Newcastle (Newcastle, WY) to confront the Dogies in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Dogies go into the game with a record of 1-5. Newcastle lost 60-33 in their recent non-league game against Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD)
