The Taylorville Tornadoes basketball team scored 71 points and limited the visiting MacArthur Generals to 54 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tornadoes now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mater Dei for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. Taylorville will confront a Knights team coming off a 50-23 non-league win over Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, MacArthur falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Generals host Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL) to confront the Cyclones in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Cyclones go into the game with a record of 8-12. Sacred Heart-Griffin won 62-36 in their recent league game against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL)
