North Carolina High School Basketball - Murphy overwhelms Summit Charter

The Murphy Bulldogs basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Summit Charter Bears to 17 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Gilmer for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. Murphy will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 55-49 league loss to Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Summit Charter falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Bears host Andrews (Andrews, NC) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 6-5. Andrews lost 53-52 in their recent non-league game against Franklin (Franklin, NC)
