In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Caldwell Academy Eagles basketball team scored a close 69-68 triumph over the Davidson Day Patriots.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, High Point Christian Academy was tipped by Burlington Christian Academy (Burlington, NC), 43-36, in a non-league contest.
