In Friday's league game, the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets (Amite, LA) football team smashed the visiting Central Hinds Academy Cougars (Raymond, MS), by a final score of 48-0.
The Yellowjackets (5-1) will now prepare for their game against Silliman Institute (Clinton, LA). The Wildcats come into the MAIS 5A District 3 game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Silliman Institute was trounced by Adams County Christian (Natchez, MS), 42-0, in a non-league game.
The Cougars now hold a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Copiah Academy for a MAIS 5A District 3 game on Friday, October 8. Central Hinds Academy will battle a Colonels team coming off a 44-16 league win over Cathedral (Natchez, MS). The Colonels record now stands at 5-2.
