    • Maryland High School Football - Westlake defeats La Plata

    October 1, 2021: La Plata, MD 20646

    In Friday's league match, the visiting Westlake Wolverines football squad scored a good 28-6 victory over the La Plata Warriors.

    In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) in a Southern Maryland - Potomac match, on Friday, October 8. Westlake will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Panthers enter the match with a 1-4 record after their 30-24 league win over Stone (Waldorf, MD).

    The Warriors (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Chargers enter the Southern Maryland - Potomac match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Lackey ran past Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD), 27-19, in a league match.
