    • California High School Football - Ponderosa defeats Oakmont

    October 1, 2021: Shingle Springs, CA 95682

    In Friday's league match, the host Ponderosa Bruins football squad scored a good 28-16 victory over the Oakmont Vikings.

    In their next game, the Bruins face the Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA) in a Foothill Valley bout, on Friday, October 8. Ponderosa will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Knights enter the bout with a 1-5 record after their 55-0 league loss to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA).

    The Vikings (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA). The Fighting Zebras enter the Foothill Valley bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Lincoln defeated Placer (Auburn, CA), 28-0, in a league bout.
