The Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) football overcame the host Inland Lakes Bulldogs (Indian River, MI), 50-40 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Au Gres-Sims Wolverines (Au Gres, MI) in a North Star (8 Man) bout, on Saturday, October 8. Alcona will attempt to move on its 6-0 season record. The Wolverines enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 66-30 league win over Mio-Au Sable (Mio, MI).

The Bulldogs (4-2) will now prepare for their bout against Pellston (Pellston, MI). The Hornets enter the Ski-Valley (8 Man) bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, Pellston was toppled by St. Mary Cathedral (Gaylord, MI), 62-12, in a league bout.
