The Hannibal Warriors football team (Hannibal, NY), was tipped 16-14 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Birdlebough Firebirds (Phoenix, NY)

The Firebirds (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (Parish, NY). The Rebels come into the Section 3 Independent challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown was tipped by Pulaski (Pulaski, NY), 23-8, in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Port Byron for a Section 3 Independent challenge on Saturday, October 8. Hannibal will meet a Panthers team coming off a 42-18 league win over Jordan-Elbridge (Jordan, NY). The Panthers record now stands at 3-1.
