The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes football team (Marrero, LA), was beaten 35-6 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA)
The Warriors (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chalmette (Chalmette, LA). The Owls come into the 5A District 8 challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Chalmette was beaten by Bogalusa (Bogalusa, LA), 52-36, in a non-league challenge.
The Hurricanes now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Cox for a 4A District 10 challenge on Friday, October 7. L.W. Higgins will meet a Cougars team coming off a 19-7 non-league loss to St. Amant (St. Amant, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
