In Saturday's league match, the visiting Newfield Trojans football squad scored a good 38-12 victory over the Edison Spartans.
In their next game, the Trojans clash with the Half Hollow Hills East Thunderbirds (Dix Hills, NY) in a non-league match, on Saturday, October 1. Newfield will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 20-14 league loss to Smithtown West (Smithtown, NY).
The Spartans (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Moravia (Moravia, NY). The Blue Devils enter the Section 4 8-Man B (8 Man) match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Moravia dropped by Groton (Groton, NY), 32-28, in a league match.
