The Ramapo Gryphons football team (Spring Valley, NY), was beaten 29-8 in Saturday's league challenge with the host Port Chester Rams (Port Chester, NY)

The Rams (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Peekskill (Peekskill, NY). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Peekskill was beaten by Tappan Zee (Orangeburg, NY), 33-8, in a league challenge.

The Gryphons now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Greeley for a Section 1 Independent - Mountain challenge on Friday, October 7. Ramapo will meet a Quakers team coming off a 60-18 league loss to Poughkeepsie (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Quakers record now stands at 3-2.
