With the triumph, Discovery Canyon moves its record to 9-10 on the year. The Thunder host Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO) to play the Red-Tailed Hawks in a 4A Pikes Peak contest on Monday, October 3. The Red-Tailed Hawks come into the contest with a record of 10-11. Cheyenne Mountain won 6-5 in their recent league contest against Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO)

In their next game, the Hornets play the Pueblo South Colts (Pueblo, CO) in a 4A South Central contest, on Tuesday, October 4. Pueblo County will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record. The Colts come into the contest with a 12-8 record after their 12-7 league loss to Pueblo West (Pueblo West, CO).
