The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Head-Royce Jayhawks (Oakland, CA) and the host Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA), saw Head-Royce's volleyball squad beat Alameda by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Head-Royce upgrades its record to 24-6 on the year. The Jayhawks travel to Lincoln (San Francisco, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 1. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Lincoln won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Washington (San Francisco, CA)

The Hornets now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Castro Valley for a West Alameda County - Foothill bout on Wednesday, October 5. Alameda will play a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Trojans record now stands at 11-12.
