The Bassett Olympians volleyball team (La Puente, CA), was nudged 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Gabrielino Eagles (San Gabriel, CA)
The Eagles (18-10) will now prepare for their challenge against North (Torrance, CA). The Saxons enter the non-league challenge with a 11-10 record. In their last challenge, North nipped Wiseburn- Da Vinci (El Segundo, CA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
Next, the Olympians encounter the Ramona Convent Tigers (Alhambra, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 1. Bassett will attempt to move on its 10-11 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 3-1 league win over Alverno Heights Academy (Sierra Madre, CA).
