South Dakota High School Volleyball - Burke over Centerville

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Burke Cougars (Burke, SD) and the host Centerville Tornadoes (Centerville, SD), saw Burke's volleyball squad run past Centerville by a score of 2-0.

The Cougars now have a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corsica/Stickney for a non-league test on Saturday, October 1. Burke will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-12.

The Tornadoes (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Avon (Avon, SD). The Pirates enter the non-league test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Avon gained a win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD), 3-0, in a non-league test.
