The Gillespie Miners volleyball team (Gillespie, IL), was dropped 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Decatur Eisenhower Panthers (Decatur, IL)

The Panthers (6-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Rantoul (Rantoul, IL). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Rantoul was dropped by St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Miners meet the Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Gillespie will attempt to move on its 3-16 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 3-19 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Litchfield (Litchfield, IL).
