The Grey Ghosts (20-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL). The Irish enter the non-league challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Peoria Notre Dame was dropped by Normal West (Normal, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Chiefs meet the Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 1. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will attempt to move on its 7-15 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 2-0 league win over El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL).
