In Saturday's non-league battle, the visiting Erie-Prophetstown Panthers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sterling Golden Warriors.

The Panthers (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL). The Comets come into the non-league battle with a 15-2 record. In their last battle, Newman Central Catholic defeated Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Golden Warriors encounter the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 1. Sterling will attempt to move on its 8-13 season record. The Raiders come into the battle with a 2-14 record after their 2-0 league loss to Milledgeville (Milledgeville, IL).
