The Pekin Dragons volleyball team (Pekin, IL), went down 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Eureka Hornets (Eureka, IL)

The Hornets (17-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL). The Chiefs enter the Heart of Illinois challenge with a 7-14 record. In their last challenge, Deer Creek-Mackinaw went down by Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Dragons encounter the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) in a Mid-Illini challenge, on Tuesday, October 4. Pekin will attempt to move on its 15-7 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 13-9 record after their 2-0 league loss to Metamora (Metamora, IL).
