The Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) volleyball overcame the host Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY), 2-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
With the win, Southwestern upgrades its record to 25-7 on the year. The Warriors travel to Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY) to face the Titans in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 6. The Titans go into the outing with a record of 21-8. Mercer County won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Danville (Danville, KY)
The Spartans now own a 17-5 record. They play next when they host Madison Southern for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 4. Sayre will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 2-11.
