The Lions now hold a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Prestonsburg for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 1.

With the loss, Lawrence County moves to 5-9 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to encounter the Golden Eagles in a District 57 challenge on Wednesday, October 2. The Golden Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 9-5. Johnson Central won 9-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Letcher County Central (Whitesburg, KY)
