In Tuesday's non-league outing, the visiting Rantoul Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-0 win over the First Baptist Christian Knights.
The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans enter the Illini Prairie outing with a 15-2 record. In their last outing, St. Joseph-Ogden tipped Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL), 9-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Knights confront the Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Westville Buffaloes (Georgetown, IL) in a non-league outing, on Monday, October 7. First Baptist Christian will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Buffaloes enter the outing with a 5-7 record after their 4-3 league loss to Oakwood/Catlin (Fithian, IL).
