With the triumph, Mayfield moves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Calloway County (Murray, KY) to clash with the Lakers in a District 2 test on Wednesday, October 9. The Lakers come into the test with a record of 13-3. Calloway County won 7-1 in their recent non-league test against Caldwell County (Princeton, KY)

The Lyons now sport a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they host Christian County for a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. Lyon County will clash with a Colonels team coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Hopkins County Central (Madisonville, KY). The Colonels record now stands at 9-6.
