West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), 9-0 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, West Stanly moves its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Thursday, October 3. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 5-5. Albemarle won 6-0 in their recent league test against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)

The Comets now sport a 2-12 record. They take the field next when they host Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A test on Wednesday, October 2. North Stanly will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 5-0 league win over Mount Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-4.
