Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) and the visiting Raritan Rockets (Hazlet, NJ), saw St. John-Vianney's soccer squad hold off Raritan by a count of 2-1.

The Lancers (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Neptune (Neptune, NJ). The Scarlet Fliers enter the Shore B - North battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Neptune was edged by Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Rockets battle the Colts Neck Cougars (Colts Neck, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Monday, October 7. Raritan will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 9-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Liberty (Jackson, NJ).
