In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Wayne Blue Devils softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Pius X Thunderbolts.
The Blue Devils (17-8) will now prepare for their match against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Bluejays come into the non-league match with a 22-4 record. In their last match, Guardian Angels Central Catholic was nipped by Bishop Neumann (Wahoo, NE), 3-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 3. Pius X will attempt to better on its 13-14 season record. The Dragons come into the match with a 30-0 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Blair (Blair, NE).
