The Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) volleyball held off the host Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL), 2-1 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Chiefs now possess a 13-7 record. They play next when they host Eureka for a Heart of Illinois bout on Thursday, October 3. Deer Creek-Mackinaw will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 2-0 league loss to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Fieldcrest drops to 8-10 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Marquette (Ottawa, IL) to clash with the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Monday, October 7. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 14-7.
