Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA) and the host Manchester Lancers (Midlothian, VA), observed James River Midlothian's volleyball team top Manchester by a tally of 3-1.

The Rapids (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Monacan (Richmond, VA). The Chiefs enter the Dominion contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Monacan was beaten by Clover Hill (Midlothian, VA), 3-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Lancers meet the Huguenot Falcons (Richmond, VA) in a Dominion contest, on Wednesday, October 2. Manchester will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Richmond City School of the Arts (Richmond, VA).
