Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Sehome Mariners (Bellingham, WA) and the host Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA), observed Sehome's volleyball team top Mount Vernon by a tally of 3-0.

The Mariners (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA). The Cubs enter the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Sedro-Woolley was beaten by Lakewood (Arlington, WA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest, on Thursday, October 3. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 3-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Bellingham (Bellingham, WA).
