In Tuesday's non-league match, the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) volleyball squad tipped the host Northwest Webster Cougars (Manson, IA), by a count of 3-2.
Next up, the Mustangs confront the St. Mary's Hawks (Remsen, IA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 3. Newell-Fonda will attempt to move on its 19-7 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 5-12 record after their 3-2 league win over Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA).
The Cougars (11-11) will now prepare for their match against South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA). The Titans enter the non-league match with a 22-8 record. In their last match, South Central Calhoun held off Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA), 3-0, in a non-league match.
