In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting West Charlotte Lions football squad scored a good 12-2 triumph over the Independence Patriots.
The Lions (5-0) will now prepare for their battle against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 3-2 record.
The Patriots now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chambers for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 9. Independence will play a Cougars team coming off a 8-6 non-league win over Butler (Matthews, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-1.
