In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Bentley Phoenix soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Oakland Military Institute Grizzlies.
The Phoenix (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA). The Pilots come into the Bay Counties - East test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, St. Joseph Notre Dame edged AIMS College Prep (Oakland, CA), 3-1, in a non-league test.
The Grizzlies now sport a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host KIPP King for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. Oakland Military Institute will clash with a Lions team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Arise (Oakland, CA). The Lions record now stands at 6-1.
