In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Carbondale Terriers (Carbondale, IL) soccer team edged the visiting Notre Dame Bulldogs (Cape Girardeau, MO), by a tally of 3-2.
Next, the Terriers face the Mt. Vernon Rams (Mt. Vernon, IL) in a South Seven contest, on Thursday, October 2. Carbondale will attempt to advance on its 13-1 season record. The Rams enter the contest with a 6-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Marion (Marion, IL).
The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO). The Mules go into the Southeast Missouri challenge with a 4-4 record.
