The Pierce County Bears softball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Metter Tigers to 3 in the Bears non-league win on Wednesday.

The Bears now possess a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Appling County for a 2A Region 3 battle on Thursday, October 2. Pierce County will confront a Pirates team coming off a 9-0 league win over Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Pirates record now stands at 11-4.

The Tigers (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 16-6 record.
