Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Academy of the Sacred Heart Saints (Grand Coteau, LA) and the visiting Opelousas Catholic Vikings (Opelousas, LA), observed Academy of the Sacred Heart's volleyball team top Opelousas Catholic by a count of 3-1.

The Saints (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The Fighting Blue Jays enter the Division V District 2 contest with a 10-6 record.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Westminster Christian Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) in a Division V District 2 test, on Monday, October 6. Opelousas Catholic will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Crusaders go into the test with a 14-4 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Slidell (Slidell, LA).
