Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Northside Patriots (Columbus, GA) and the host Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA), observed Northside's volleyball team top Griffin by a score of 2-0.

With the win, Northside improves its record to 16-15 on the season. The Patriots travel to Starr's Mill (Fayetteville, GA) to face the Panthers in a 4A Area 3 test on Wednesday, October 1. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 22-12. Starr's Mill lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Central (Carrollton, GA)

The Bears now own a 6-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jonesboro for a 4A Area 3 test on Wednesday, October 1. Griffin will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over McEachern (Powder Springs, GA). The Cardinals record now stands at 20-14.
