Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Summit Shasta Black Bears (Daly City, CA) and the host Immaculate Conception Spartans (San Francisco, CA), observed Summit Shasta's volleyball team top Immaculate Conception by a count of 3-0.

The Black Bears (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Design Tech (Redwood City, CA). The Dragons enter the Private School - Bay contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Design Tech notched a victory over Pacific Bay Christian (Pacifica, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Spartans now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Terra Nova for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. Immaculate Conception will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Jefferson (Daly City, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-16.
