The Jackson Day Mariners volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting The Math and Science Academy of Charlotte - Concord Campus Lions to 0 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Mariners now have a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carolina International for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A game on Thursday, October 2.
The Lions (0-8) will now prepare for their game against Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 2-13 record.
