The Wildcats (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers enter the Southeastern challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Oscar Smith was dropped by Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets encounter the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Thursday, October 12. Deep Creek will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 3-1 league win over Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA).
