The Phelps Lions soccer team scored 5 points and limited the visiting Appoquinimink Jaguars to 1 in the Lions non-league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Lions face the Archbishop Curley Friars (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 14. Phelps will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Friars enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 7-1 league win over Concordia Prep (Towson, MD).

The Jaguars now have a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Pleasant for a Blue Hen Flight - A contest on Thursday, October 12.
