In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA) softball team held off the visiting West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), by a margin of 6-5.
With the triumph, Effingham County moves its record to 22-4 on the year. The Rebels travel to South Effingham (Guyton, GA) to play the Mustangs in a 6A Region 2 contest on Wednesday, October 11. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 24-4. South Effingham won 9-1 in their recent league contest against Grovetown (Grovetown, GA)
