In Tuesday's league battle, the host Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Providence-St. Mel Knights.

The Cristeros (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Northtown (Chicago, IL). The Pumas come into the Chicago Prep battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Northtown achieved victory over Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Knights clash with the Ellison Lions (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep battle, on Friday, October 13. Providence-St. Mel will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 1-8 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Catalyst-Maria (Chicago, IL).
