The Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) volleyball overcame the visiting Waterbury Career Academy Spartans (Waterbury, CT), 3-1 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Naugatuck upgrades its record to 8-4 on the year. The Greyhounds host Wilby (Waterbury, CT) to face the Wildcats in a Naugatuck Valley outing on Thursday, October 12. The Wildcats go into the outing with a record of 0-12. Wilby lost 3-1 in their recent non-league outing against Kaynor Tech (Waterbury, CT)

The Spartans now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they travel to St. Paul Catholic for a Naugatuck Valley outing on Thursday, October 12. Waterbury Career Academy will face a Falcons squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Kennedy (Waterbury, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 10-4.
