The Newton County Cougars held off the host Tishomingo County Braves volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Cougars now have a 30-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caledonia for a non-league test on Thursday, October 12. Newton County will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Cavaliers record now stands at 25-7.

This match is a part of the 2023 MHSAA Volleyball Championships - Class 4A tournament
