Maryland High School Basketball - Our Lady of Good Counsel nips McDonogh

The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) and the host McDonogh Eagles (Owings Mills, MD), observed Our Lady of Good Counsel's basketball team edge McDonogh by a score of 63-59.

The Falcons (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD). The Stags come into the Washington Catholic challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, DeMatha edged Southern California Academy (Castaic, CA), 52-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the West Nottingham Rams (Colora, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 4. McDonogh will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Rams come into the test with a 0-4 record after their 55-22 league loss to Tri-State Christian (Elkton, MD).
