North Carolina High School Football - Anson wallops Piedmont

October 10, 2024: Wadesboro, NC 28170

The Anson Bearcats football squad scored 45 points and limited the visiting Piedmont Panthers to 0 in the Bearcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Bearcats now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe for a 2A/3A Rocky River test on Friday, October 18. Anson will clash with a Redhawks squad coming off a 55-6 league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 6-0.

With the defeat, Piedmont drops to 2-5 on the campaign. The Panthers host Forest Hills (Marshville, NC) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a 2A/3A Rocky River test on Friday, October 18. The Yellow Jackets come into the test with a record of 4-3. Forest Hills won 35-9 in their recent league test against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)
