Indian River Indians (Dagsboro, DE) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Brandywine Bulldogs (Wilmington, DE), 23-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Indian River improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Indians travel to Early College (Dover, DE) to play the Hornets in a 1A District 2 battle on Friday, October 18. The Hornets go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Early College won 31-22 in their recent non-league battle against Dickinson (Wilmington, DE)

The Bulldogs now have a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Seaford for a 1A District 2 battle on Friday, October 18. Brandywine will play a Bluejays team coming off a 28-3 non-league loss to Laurel (Laurel, DE). The Bluejays record now stands at 2-4.
